Checking Things Off Our List 5/29

Today we made a plan to get lunch right after out class let out at 12:00 and then hit some major areas we wanted to see. The place we decided to eat was really amazing and they had gluten free options! So I finally got eat some Italian pizza, and it was delicious, even with the lack of gluten. After lunch, we headed over to the Spanish steps. We got lucky and out GPS took us to the top of the stair, so we only had to walk down them. The trek to the top in todays heat would have been pretty tough for all of us.
From this area, we decided to check out the Pantheon. We were originally having trouble finding it, but then all of a sudden we turned the corner, and it appears. The building is absolutely stunning. The size of the entire structure is incredible, and this picture doesn't do it justice. We were all so excited to see this amazing church, and were glad to be able to check it off our bucket lists! In fact, we will most likely make at least one, if not two, more visits before we leave.
The Trevi Fountain is not far from the Pantheon so we decided to visit there as well. Of course during the middle of the day, this area is crowded with tourists, but we figured, why not go if we were so close! The fountain was stunning, and way bigger than I imagined. It was so beautiful, in fact, that one of my friends actually started crying happy tears! We were only there for a short while, but we are 100% planning on going back both in the early morning and late a night. This way, all the people won't be crowding around, and we can experience the fountain peacefully. Overall, an extremely successful day! We got to check a ton of places off our list, and now we will just end the day finishing our work, and most likely grabbing some gelato:)
